Simon Croft ran an excellent time of 33.43 at the Mad Dog 10k event at Southport to win the race. 59 more Red Rose runners took part in this highly popular mass participation event with Pauline Moorcroft also taking a winner’s prize, the F55, in 47.04.

Gina Biggs travelled to Milton Keynes to take part in the Enigma Quadzilla event. That means 4 marathons in 4 days. Not only that, her times show that she saved the best till last. Day One 6.32, Day Two 6.52, Day Three, 6.27, and Day Four, 5.59. She won 4 medals and a pink hoodie !

The Montane Trail series saw Red Rose at the Grizedale Marathon and Half marathon. With around 3850ft of climb for the full distance and 1750ft for the half, this represented a serious undertaking for any competitor. Thankfully the weather was dry and clear, which allowed good views of snow topped hills, lakes and forest. John Naylor finished 14th in the marathon with a time of 4.09.47, followed by Scott Jackson in 40th with a time of 4.37.54. In the Half, Olivia Wiggans had a great run coming in as 3rd female in a time of 1.54.31. Andy Hale finished in 1.58.02 followed by Ryan Beardsworth as 6th M50 in 2.07.31.Other competitors and their times were John Wiggans 2.13.53, Melanie Lowe 2.26.46, Pita Oates 2.30.44, Ray Oates 2.30.59, Paul Gardner 2.32.08, Lynn Melvin 2.52.03 and Sharon Birkbeck 2.52.03.
