Periodically we offer a beginners couch to 5k course led by an England Athletics qualified Coach and Leader in Running Fitness. Courses will be held twice a year in March and September with details on the club’s Facebook page in February and August.
The sessions are held at The Poachers, Cuerden Way, Bamber Bridge at 7pm on Thursdays (see map at the bottom of the page). Please DO NOT park in the pub car park. There are plenty of other options within a short walking distance.
The course will build slowly over 9 weeks with the aim of running a 5k parkrun as session 10 at Avenham Park on the Saturday at the end of the course.
We will meet for an hour each week but participants will be required to complete additional runs each week as ‘homework’.

You must be a beginner or not have run for the last five years. This is NOT an “Improvers Course”. It is designed for people who have never run before.
