At the Ribble Valley 10K a very very strong field assembled for the last road race of the season. With the first 41 runners finishing under 32 minutes and the first Vet 70 finishing in 41.59, prizes were hard fought for. For Red Rose Andrew Pendercast lead the way in 39.55 followed by Steve Whitney looking sharp with 40.24. Jose Pinon Shaw filled the third club place in 40.59. With Doug Brydon in fourth place with a time of 42.52, this new year promises plenty of interesting possibilities in the club competitions. Luke and Dave Earnshaw paired up for the race and finished together in 44.24 with eyes on the new season and injury free running. Paul Woan in 44.39 continues to get back to form. Ian Matthews 47.03, John Hyde 48.15, and Keith Burrows 50.12 completed the men’s line up. Jayne Tomlinson was the lone Red Rose lady running well for 64.47.
