The main road race for Red Rose this weekend was the Garstang 10K. Each year this provides everyone with a benchmark time for the following months. This year overnight rain gave way to cool but favourable conditions. Our success came in both team and individual prizes. Matt Holmes posted yet another PB finishing in 5th place in 35.18 with Karl Hodgson close behind with a time of 35.42. A brilliant run from Carla Davies saw her win the ladies race in a confident return to the 10k distance, after injury, clocking 36.46. With great runs from Sam Edwards 43.03 and Jill Jefferson 45.24 Red Rose Ladies took the team prize. Joe Swarbrick(42.19) completed the Men’s team who took second place.
