Existing Members Renewal

England Athletics give members three calendar months after the end of the membership year on 31 March to re-join for the following year. Any member who does not re-join before 1 September will be marked as resigned from the club.

If you are a member at the end of a membership year, England Athletics (EA) will send you an email in April asking you to pay your membership fee (please check your junk filters and folders).

You are responsible for keeping your own details up to date (name, address, tel no, email, NOK etc) on the England Athletics portal. If you cannot remember your credentials and cannot get your password reset by England Athletics, please contact us.

If you do not wish to re-join, please let us know.

Juniors

We welcome junior (U16) members but must insist a parent or guardian is a member of the club and the parent or guardian accompany the child to all sessions and take full responsibility for the child at all times. The club cannot take responsibility for safeguarding children and we must make it a condition of joining that a parent (or legal guardian) is responsible for the safety and well-being of the child. That said, we have a safeguarding policy and endeavour to make the Junior training sessions age appropriate, safe, and enjoyable.

The 2021 AGM voted to charge a nominal Junior membership fee of £1 and affiliate Junior members only if they pay the additional England Athletics affiliation fee. If you are a Junior and want to compete in the Mid Lancs Cross Country, the Interclub series or get a discount on normal race entry fees then you need to be affiliated. Note there are different age restrictions for these races, and you might want to learn about those before deciding if you want to be affiliated.

Medical Conditions

If you have a medical condition that may affect your ability to take part in club activities, then you should seek the advice of a qualified medical practitioner.
